Sermorelin is a 29 amino acid human growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) analogue and it’s actually the shortest synthetic peptide with full GHRH biological activity. It’s considered a growth hormone secretagogue (GHS) which was initially developed only to test the secretion of GH.
What sermorelin essentially does is it mimics the hypothalamic peptide GHRH and acts directly on the pituitary gland stimulating the production of GH. It also increases the proliferation of somatotroph cells’ ability to secrete HGH.
